Logan's Run Rescue is an animal rescue in Western North Carolina, serving Cherokee County and neighboring counties in North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. The rescue was formed by a group of friends who had worked at a local shelter and knew there was a better way to care for the stray and abandoned animals in our community while also helping to solve the animal over population problem. Logan's Run Rescue will not endorse or support the euthanizing of healthy animals with reasonable temperaments, including those who are elderly. Our rescue will attempt to treat those that are sick and work to improve the temperament of those who are ill-tempered because of past treatment or lack of socialization. How We Got Our Name Logan's Run Rescue (LRR) is named after Logan, a King Charles Cavalier whose love inspired his guardians to seek out like-minded people and to start a charity to help other animals... in his name. This is a picture of Logan above. Logan's Run Rescue is dedicated to give humane care and rescue to abandoned and stray animals as well as support and promote the spay and neutering of pets; to reduce over-population while adopting a commitment to change the community's awareness and educate the public in improving the welfare of companion pets.
