Pet ID Program Logan's Run Rescue is committed to ending the stray dog population in our area and has a program to provide up to 3 FREE, metal, bone-shaped dog tags per family for families living in North Georgia and SW Noth Carolina. The program is limited by the amount of money donated to Logan's Run Rescue for this purpose. People wanting tags need to drop by the Logan's Run Rescue Thrift Shop in Murphy and provide the information for the tags, which will be mailed to them. Tags will include up to two phone numbers and an address so owners can be notified in case their animal becomes lost. For directions to the thrift store, call 828-837-1360. While you are there, ask about our Low Cost Spay and Neuter programs.
Only 15 to 20 percent of dogs are returned to their owners. Most of these were identified with tags , tattoos or microchips. (ASPCA)
